sherry's okra
This is how my wife likes her okra. Sadly, she only gets it when I cook bacon, usually 3 pounds at a time, two or three times a year. Then she really chows down on it!

Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
- 2 tablespoons bacon drippings
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 package frozen cut okra (10 oz)
- cooked brown rice
How To Make sherry's okra

Step 1In a large frying pan, heat bacon drippings over medium heat.

Step 2Add onions and cook until translucent.

Step 3Stir in okra. Cook with a lid on pan for 15 - 20 minutes, stirring a few times.

Step 4Serve over brown rice with crumbled bacon on top.
