This is how my wife likes her okra. Sadly, she only gets it when I cook bacon, usually 3 pounds at a time, two or three times a year. Then she really chows down on it!

3 slicebacon, crumbled

2 Tbspbacon drippings

1/2 conion, chopped

1 pkgfrozen cut okra (10 oz)

cooked brown rice
How To Make sherry's okra

1In a large frying pan, heat bacon drippings over medium heat.

2Add onions and cook until translucent.

3Stir in okra. Cook with a lid on pan for 15 - 20 minutes, stirring a few times.

4Serve over brown rice with crumbled bacon on top.
