This recipe is very versatile. I change up the vegetables and sometimes use a bit of sesame oil instead of just vegetable oil. I like to serve this with grilled teriyaki chicken or steak.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1-2 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
  • hot cooked rice

How To Make sesame and soy stir-fry vegetables

  • Step 1
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a small bowl and stir well. Set chicken broth mixture aside.
  • Step 2
Pour oil around the top of a preheated wok or slope sided skillet. Heat to medium high (375º) for 2 minutes. Add the broccoli and cauliflower and stir fry for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Step 3
Stir in the reserved broth mixture and the green onions. Cover and cook 3 to 5 minutes or until the vegetables are crisp-tender and the mixture is thickened. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve over rice.
