Grandma used to make this dish during sweet corn season. Its good to use with the more mature corn at the end of the season. I think this may be a local Indiana recipe as I have not seen it anywhere else.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups corn, cut off cobs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make sauted corn

  • Step 1
    In skillet combine corn, butter, and sugar. Cook over medium heat until corn is tender and a tiny bit crispy, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    You can add 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper or 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled.
