sausage and cabbage
I am from New Orleans, now living about 40 miles north of New Orleans. Makes no differens where you live now, you are always N'Awlins. On New Years Day it is tradition that we eat black-eye peas and cabbage. Black-eye peas for luck and cabbage for money. This is my cabbage recipe. It is so easy,and this is the only way a few of my family will eat cabbage. I double the recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound roll of jimmy dean sausage - use jimmy dean its less fat
- 15 ounces can of tomatoe sauce
- 10 ounces can of tomatoes - i like the chopped tomatoes with season
How To Make sausage and cabbage

Step 1Chop cabbage and put in a large covered dish or a 9x13 pan.

Step 2Break off small pieces of sausage and put over the cabbage

Step 3Pour the tomatoes sauce and tomatoes evenly over the cabbage and sausage. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour. No cover for your pan, use foil
