Ingredients
- 1 large can sauerkraut
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 - onion, whole
How To Make sauer kraut

Step 1Place sauerkraut in bottom of crockpot, mix in brown sugar. Add whole onion.

Step 2Place meat on top (pork roast, pork chops, hot dogs, etc.) add salt and pepper, if needed.

Step 3Cook on low fore 10 hours. The longer cooked, the better the sauerkraut.

Step 4For years Mom would cook this in a roaster, in 300 degree oven, for 3 or 5 hrs, adding water to keep moist. Then she discovered the crockpot.
