Ingredients

  • 2 pkg
    frozen whole green beans
  • 1 lb
    bacon (uncooked)
  • 3/4 c
    butter
  • ·
    garlic powder
  • ·
    salt
  • ·
    pepper
  • ·
    toothpicks
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • ·
    9 x 13 baking pain
  • ·
    aluminum foil

How to Make Ruthamae's Green Bean Bundles

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat Oven to 375 degrees. Cut bacon in half and wrap around bunch (approximately 12) green beans and secure with toothpicks. Place in a 9X13 baking pan, continue until you have used all of the bacon.
  2. Make a glaze from the butter, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add brown sugar, garlic powder and salt & pepper. Pour over green beans and bacon. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 375 for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 5 minutes or until brown.
