Ingredients
- 1 1/2 teaspoons butter, melted
- 1 - small head red cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 - tart apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup red currant jelly
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
How To Make rodekool (red cabbage)

Step 1Melt butter in a two quart saucepan and add cabbage, apples, cider vinegar, current jelly and water. Mix well.

Step 2Cover and simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender, about 1 hour.

Step 3Add salt and sugar, mix and serve.

Step 4This recipe can be prepared a day ahead , just refrigerate. When ready to use just warm through.
