This is a great hot dish and easy. Friends and family fight over the last bite....it haunts you from the refrigerator if you are lucky enough to have any leftovers...

Ingredients

  • 7 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 - medium onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups raw white rice
  • 1 package bacon, cut in small pieces
  • 1 1/2 cans tomato soup
  • 2 1/2 cups tomato juice
  • - seasoning salt and peppper to each layer

How To Make rice hot dish - holupchures

  • Step 1
    Layer cabbage, rice, bacon and onion and cabbage. Sprinkle seasoning salt and pepper. Add 1/2 can tomato soup. Layer again, twice. Add tomato juice. Insert a knife in a few places so that juice can go down a little.
  • Step 2
    Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until done.
