This recipe came from my Granny.She made it for as long as I remember.It is so easy and very delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 medium
    green bell pepper,chopped
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1 c
    uncooked white rice
  • 1 can(s)
    beef consomme
  • 1 can(s)
    water

How to Make Rice Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large skillet,melt butter. Add bell pepper and onion. Saute until tender.
  2. To the skillet add 1 "level" cup of rice. Stir to coat with butter,cook a couple minutes longer. Add beef consomme and water.
  3. Transfer to an ungreased 8x8 baking dish and give a little stir to even out the rice. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes.
