My dear mother in law gave me this recipe. Keeps well and no canning involved. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 7 cups cucumbers, kirby, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 bunch dill, fresh
  • 3-4 cloves garlic

How To Make refrigerator cukes

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl combine cucumbers, onion and salt. Cover and let stand for 1 hour.
  • Step 2
    In a saucepan combine sugar, vinegar, water and celery seed. Allow to come to a boil and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool.
  • Step 3
    Drain cucumbers well. Pour cooled sugar mixture over cucumbers. Add dill and garlic.
  • Step 4
    Refrigerate for 1-2 days. Place in sterile jars. Store refrigerated.
