Ingredients

  • 7 c
    cucumbers, kirby, sliced
  • 1 c
    onion, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    white vinegar
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1 bunch
    dill, fresh
  • 3-4 clove
    garlic

How to Make Refrigerator Cukes

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large bowl combine cucumbers, onion and salt. Cover and let stand for 1 hour.
  2. In a saucepan combine sugar, vinegar, water and celery seed. Allow to come to a boil and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool.
  3. Drain cucumbers well. Pour cooled sugar mixture over cucumbers. Add dill and garlic.
  4. Refrigerate for 1-2 days. Place in sterile jars. Store refrigerated.
