My Mother-In Law makes this on Thanksgiving, I love red cabbage and to me this is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to Make Red Cabbage

Step-by-Step

  1. Drain cabbage& wash in collander.Put in pot and cover with water. add butter and bacon fat,add sugar,salt and pepper.
  2. Peel apple and core .Cut apples into small pieces,put in pot.
  3. Cook on top of stove on low for 4 hours.you should not able to see apples. Taste, it might need more sugar
