Quick French Green Beans with Bacon

5 slicebacon, diced
1onion, sliced or diced
32 ozfrench style green beans, drained (frozen or canned)
·salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 tspgarlic powder, or to taste (i use more)
1/4 tsponion powder, or to taste
1 cwater or chicken broth, optional (see note in step 2).
How to Make Quick French Green Beans with Bacon
- Fry bacon in heavy large skillet until almost crispy. Add onions and fry until golden brown or tender.
- Add green beans. If canned, do not drain; if frozen, add 1 cup water or chicken broth.
- Add seasonings.
- Cover and cook on medium heat until most of liquid cooks away.
