Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    white sugar
  • 3/4 c
    vinegar
  • 3/4 c
    beet juice
  • 1 large
    onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 can(s)
    (13 oz) sliced beets (reserve 3/4 cup juice)
  • PICKLED BEETS

How to Make Pickled Beets

Step-by-Step

  1. In a saucepan combine the white sugar, vinegar, beet juice and onion and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat; add beets. Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour. Cover and chill for 6 hours or overnight.
