This is a simple, tasty side dish that we like to have with meatloaf.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 16 ounces petite peas, frozen
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • - seasoned salt, to taste
  • - freshly ground pepper, to taste

How To Make petite peas with thyme and garlic

  • Step 1
    Heat oil, garlic and peas in a skillet.
  • Step 2
    Add thyme and lettuce.
  • Step 3
    Mix well, then cover and steam over low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Peas should be bright but tender and lettuce should be wilted.
  • Step 5
    Add seasoned salt and pepper to taste.
