Ingredients

  • 4 - potatoes, cooked and mashed
  • 2 cups brown mushroom gravy
  • 1 - onions, coarsely chopped
  • 3 - carrots, thinly sliced
  • 1 - green pepper, diced
  • 1/2 pound broccoli, chopped
  • 1/4 pound green beans, cut into 1 inch
  • 1 - spinach leaves

How To Make peasant's pie

  • Step 1
    Steam vegetables (except spinach) about 15 minutes, until crisp-tender.
  • Step 2
    Remove from heat.
  • Step 3
    Stir in spinach and 2 cups gravy.
  • Step 4
    Spoon this filling into a 9x12 backing dish.
  • Step 5
    Spread 3 cups of mashed potatoes over the top.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle with a small amount of paprika.
  • Step 7
    Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Step 8
    HINTS: any vegetables can be used, and frozen works also.
  • Step 9
    Use about 8 cups chopped vegetables total.
