Party Green Bean Casserole

This is a great recipe to try at your next dinner party. It has no creamy soups , although you could use, if you desire. But this casserole is down-right delicious as written.

Ingredients

  • 20 oz
    can french cut green beans
  • 1/2 pt
    dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 lb
    swiss cheese, grated
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    finely chopped onion
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make

    Drain beans and place in a buttered casserole. Melt butter and add flour, stir well until blended. Mix in sour cream, stirring continuously, then add sand, pepper, sugar and onion. Fold the sour cream mixture into the beans and mix gently. Sprinkle cheese over top of beans. Bake in 375^ oven until cheese has melted; about 15-20 minutes.

    Note: Crispy bacon crumbles or slivered almonds may be sprinkled on top if desired.
