I'm not sure why it's called what it is. I always remember someone in the family making this for the 4th of July for picnics. This has always been enjoyed at family get togethers.

Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    pork and beans
  • 1 can(s)
    butter or lima beans
  • 1 can(s)
    kidney beans
  • 1
    small onion, sliced thin
  • MIX WELL. DRAIN THE BEANS FIRST IF YOU DON'T WANT IT SO RUNNY. THEN ADD:

  • 3 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 6 slice
    raw bacon, chopped
  • drizzle
    molasses, if you like

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all together. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.
