Cabbage Lovers! Great vegetable side dish. You can make this vegetarian by leaving out the ham. Use any color bell pepper. I usually use green but red would taste wonderful. So good!

  • 1 small
    head of cabbage, sliced
  • 1-2 stick
    carrots, chopped
  • 1-2 tsp
    chicken bouillon granules
  • dash(es)
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 small
    onion, sliced
  • 1
    bell pepper, sliced
  • ·
    ham chunks
  • ·
    butter to taste
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp
    tony chachere’s
  • 1-2
    garlic cloves, sliced
  • ·
    onion powder & garlic powder to taste

How to Make Oven Roasted Cabbage


  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large pot with a lid. Cover.
  3. Cook for 40 minutes to an hour. Depends on how soft or crunchy you like your cabbage. Cabbage makes its own juices.
  4. Once cooked, add vinegar, optional.
