I came up with this as a change from canned green beans. The fresh green beans really make the difference.

2 lb
fresh green beans, cleaned
1 1/2 c
chicken broth
4 Tbsp
olive oil
salt & cracked peper to taste
garlic to taste (crushed, either fresh or in oil) i usually use 2 tbsp.


1Put oil in hot skillet or wok, add beans & garlic, stir for 1 minute.
2Add chicken broth, salt & pepper. Simmer with lid on until crisp tender, stir several times.
3Serve warm. Lovely with a bit of shredded Parmesan cheese or asiago cheese sprinkled on top.
