Ingredients
- 4 whole fresh beets
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- dash pepper
- 1/2 cup orange juice, fresh
- 1/4 teaspoon grated orange zest
How To Make orange sauced beets

Step 1Cook beets in boiling water over medium heat. After water starts to boil, cover and cook for 25-30 minutes.

Step 2Drain. Let cool. Peel and slice beets.

Step 3Combine sugar, cornstarch, orange juice, and pepper.

Step 4Heat until boiling and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Step 5Pour sauce over sliced beets.

Step 6You can substitute 15 oz canned beets for fresh. Drain off juice and start from step 3.
