Ingredients

  • 5 cups onions, vidalia, peeled
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 3 teaspoons flour
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 7/8 cup cracker crumbs

How To Make onion mushroom casserole

  • Step 1
    Combine onions with butter, mushrooms and salt; simmer for 5 minutes in a medium size sauce pan.
  • Step 2
    Add cream cheese.
  • Step 3
    When melted, add flour and milk; reheat.
  • Step 4
    Turn into a 2 quart greased casserole dish; sprinkle with mixture of grated cheese and crumbs.
  • Step 5
    Bake in a hot 400 degree oven for 30 minutes.
