Ingredients For onion barley casserole

  • 1/2 c
    medium pearl barley
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil, (i prefer olive oil)
  • 1 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    beef bouillon granules
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    sliced green onions
  • 1 can
    (4 ounces) whole button mushrooms, drained

How To Make onion barley casserole

  • 1
    In an ovenproof skillet, saute the barley in the oil until golden brown. Stir in water, bouillon and salt; bring to a boil.

    Remove from heat; add onions and mushrooms. Cover and bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes or until the barley is tender.
