  • 4-6 slice
    bacon
  • 1 small
    onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic, chopped
  • 1 small
    green pepper, chopped
  • 2 can(s)
    tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    tony chachere seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 1 lb
    fresh okra, washed and cut into pieces

How to Make Okra and Tomatoes

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut bacon into small pieces and cook with onion, garlic, and green pepper. When bacon is crisp, drain fat and add canned tomatoes and seasonings.
  2. Add okra to tomato mixture and cook until okra is tender, about 20 minutes.
