noodles and cabbage

I served this to my fussy stepson and his family one day after he had stated that he hates cabbage, fried or any way! As he was eating it, he kept saying how good this was and finally said.. "What's in this?" When I told him fried cabbage, he couldn't believe it could be that good! Try it, I am sure you will love it, too!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup sliced onion
  • 6 ounces egg noodles, medium, cooked and drained
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make noodles and cabbage

  • Step 1
    In large skillet melt butter over medium heat. Add cabbage and onion. Cook, stirring, 5 minutes or until tender-crisp.
  • Step 2
    Stir in noodles. sugar, dill, vinegar, salt and pepper until blended. Serve warm.
