- 2 cups fresh sweet corn, cut from cob
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon grated onion - optional
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons melted crisco
- 3 - 4 tablespoons milk
- Fat - for frying
How To Make ~ my sweet corn patties ~

Step 1In a medium bowl, combine corn, onion, flour, sugar, salt, baking powder. Beat in egg. Add melted shortening and enough milk to make a thin batter.

Step 2Drop by tablespoonsful into hot oil, fry until golden on both sides.
