These were actually my Grandma's recipe. But the key is to buy the cheapest pork and beans you can find to start with. They turn out so awesome.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans pork and beans (as cheap as you can find)
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 6 slices bacon

How To Make my mom's oven baked beans

  • Step 1
    Empty 1 can of pork and beans into greased baking dish.
  • Step 2
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar and dry mustard over beans.
  • Step 3
    Add other can of pork and beans.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle remaining brown sugar over top.
  • Step 5
    Add ketchup and stir.
  • Step 6
    Lay bacon strips on top.
  • Step 7
    Bake at 325 for 2 1/2 hours uncovered.
