These were actually my Grandma's recipe. But the key is to buy the cheapest pork and beans you can find to start with. They turn out so awesome.

pork and beans (as cheap as you can find)
1 1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp
dry mustard
1 c
ketchup
6 slice
bacon

How to Make My Mom's Oven Baked Beans

Step-by-Step

  • 1Empty 1 can of pork and beans into greased baking dish.
  • 2Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar and dry mustard over beans.
  • 3Add other can of pork and beans.
  • 4Sprinkle remaining brown sugar over top.
  • 5Add ketchup and stir.
  • 6Lay bacon strips on top.
  • 7Bake at 325 for 2 1/2 hours uncovered.
