Everyone loves this recipe!

I got this from the owner of a little coffee shop not far from my home. Its a hearty bean dish and can easily be a main dish but the restaurant serves it as a side with sandwiches.

She was nice enough to give me the recipe and let me take a picture of my lunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    bacon, diced
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 c
    bbq sauce
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 Tbsp
    molasses
  • 1 can(s)
    (16 ounces) kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    (15 3/4 ounce) pork and beans
  • 1 can(s)
    (16 ounces) butter beans, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    (16 ounces) garbanzo beans, drained

How to Make My Favorite Meaty Baked Beans

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In a skillet brown ground beef. Remove from skillet. Drain and disgard grease. Cook bacon in same skillet until crisp. Drain and disgard grease.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a 3 quart baking dish. Cover and bake for 50 minutes. Remove cover and bake 10-15 miutes lnger. Serve hot.
