Mushrooms for Steak
1 lbwhite or brown mushrooms, washed and sliced
1 largewhite onion, cut in 1/8ths and sliced
1/2 stickbutter, unsalted
3/4 tspkosher salt
1/2 tspblack pepper
1 Tbspfresh thyme, chopped (or 1 tsp dry)
4 Tbspworchestershire sauce
2 Tbspdry sherry
How to Make Mushrooms for Steak
- Place all ingredients except the Worchestershire Sauce and Dry Sherry in a large saute/fry pan. Cook over med/lo heat for about 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. The liquids that release should be mostly evaporated.
- Add the Worchestershire Sauce and Dry Sherry. Turn the heat up a bit and cook for 5 more minutes. Stir often.
- Serve on top of your favorite steak, or any other favorite thing you like Mushrooms on.
