Ingredients

1/4 tspblack pepper powder

How to Make Mushroom Sweet and Sour
- In a pan, heat oil and chopped garlic over a medium fire.
P.S. I heat oil and garlic together for the release of the wonderful fragrant of garlic. - Saute onion, red chillies and curry leaves for 2 minutes or less.
- Add mushrooms and saute. Now add turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix well. Add mashed tomato and mix well.
P.S. I love to use mashed tomato for the rich texture and flavour it gives. - Add soy sauce, chilli sauce and lime juice and mix well. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- For the sauce (optional):
In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, salt, pepper, sugar and lime juice. Add chopped garlic (optional) to the sauce. - Pour the sauce over the cooked mushroom and mix well. Mushroom sweet and sour is ready to be served.
