mom's hot pickled okra
This is my mothers recipe, we have always been big on pickled okra...snack or with meal, it doesn't matter...I could eat a whole jar by my self... You decide...Enjoy

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds fresh okra
- 3 small dried red chile peppers
- 3 teaspoons dried dill
- 3 teaspoons cardamon seeds
- 1 cup vinegar
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons salt
How To Make mom's hot pickled okra

Step 11. Divide the fresh okra evenly between 3 sterile (1 pint) jars. Place one dried chili, and one teaspoon of dill, and cardamon seed into each jar.

Step 22. In a small saucepan, combine the water, vinegar and salt. Bring to a rolling boil. Pour over the ingredients in the jars, and seal in a hot water bath for 10 minutes. Refrigerate jars after opening.
