mom's frozen corn recipe

Mom's note in her old recipe book says "very good." Everyone in the family always agreed!!

Ingredients

  • 12-14 - ears of fresh sweet corn, husked
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 pint 1/2 & 1/2
  • - salt

How To Make mom's frozen corn recipe

  • Step 1
    Cut the corn off of the cob.
  • Step 2
    Fill a 9 x 13 pan 3/4 full.
  • Step 3
    Mix in the other ingredients.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 350 degrees F for about a half hour, or until the ingredients are bubbly all over. (It took about 40 minutes in my oven.)
  • Step 5
    Remove from oven. Cool, package, and freeze. Mom used to use square freezer tupperware type containers. I use freezer bags.
  • Step 6
    To serve later, remove from freezer bag and heat either on the stove top or in the microwave. Enjoy!!
