This recipe has been in our family for years. My dad got the recipe from our Uncle J.D. 20 years ago and I've been making them for the past several years. Without a doubt the best dill pickles you will ever eat!

Ingredients
- INGREDIENTS, PER PINT JAR:
- - pickling cucumbers, freshly picked
- 1 sprig dill, fresh
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 - jalepeno or serano pepper, sliced lengthwise
- 1 slice onions, yellow, medium
- - Pickling Solution (note ratios):
- 1 quart water, warm
- 1 pint vinegar
- 1/4 cup canning salt
How To Make mississippi hot dills

Step 1Sterilize pint canning jars

Step 2Bring pickling solution to a boil

Step 3Slice cucumbers lengthwise

Step 4Place dill, garlic, pepper, onion and sliced cucumber in jars

Step 5Pour solution to 1/4 to 1/2 inch; seal jar

Step 6Process jars in water bath canner for 10 minutes

Step 7Let sit for six weeks to cure before polishing off a jar full!
