How to Make Microwave Ears of Corn
- Place unpeeled, unshucked ears of corn (up to 4) in the microwave oven.
- On the high setting, cook the corn. 4 minutes for each ear.
- When the cooking is done, remove the ears. With a sharp knife cut the corn horizontally at the stem end. You should see that you have removed part of the ear with the kernels on it.
- Then hold the ear by the narrowest end and shake the cob out. The cooked ear of corn will slide out of the peels with not a single piece of silk on it. The corn will be sweet and tender.
