Growing up in the country, my mom would fix this recipe, and I loved the bit of sweetness it had along with the crispy crunch!

Ingredients
- 4 medium yellow squash
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- - flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- - vegetable oil for frying
How To Make mamma's fried squash

Step 1Slice squash, then place in large ziplock bag. Pour flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder in bag, and shake it up to coat the squash.

Step 2In frying pan, heat oil. Then put squash in pan and fry. Don't forget to shake off excess flour.

Step 3Fry til browned, then in the last few minutes sprinkle sugar on squash, then cook a little while longer and drain on paper towel!
