These greenbeans goes great with any Italian dish. The sauteed onions, sweet pepper and garlic along with a pinch or two of Italian herbs make these greenbeans a wonderfully savory side dish.

Ingredients For mama millie's italian style greenbeans

  • 2 can
    greenbeans (15oz)
  • 1/4 c
    diced bell pepper
  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 2 clove
    minced garlic
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2-3 pinch
    italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garnish with feta cheese crumbles if desired.

How To Make mama millie's italian style greenbeans

    Dice onion and bell pepper set aside. Mince garlic and set aside.

    Add olive oil to medium pot over med.high heat. Add diced onion and bell peppers and sautee till onion is soft. Add garlic and a pinch of salt and pepper then cook for a minute.

    Add greenbeans, including the liquid, and italian herbs. Salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil then cover and reduce heat to low. Cook 5 minutes. Garnish with feta cheese if desired. (I was out)
