Grandma stirred this side dish up whenever she had fresh cucumbers in her garden. Its creamy and good. Very fresh tasting.

  • 1
    medium cucumber, sliced (peel if you prefer)
  • 1 small
    sweet onion, sliced (use either red or white onions as you prefer)
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 tsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    dill weed, optional

How to Make Lizzie's Cucumbers and Onions


  1. Combine cucumber, onions, mayonnaise and vinegar. Mix well. Stir in celery salt, pepper, and dill weed, if used. Refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving for best flavor. Keeps well in frig. Makes 6 servings.
