Perfect for a picnic, potluck, or any night on your dinner table! If you like baked beans, you will love these. These are a 4th of July and summer staple in our house. I'm from the South, and these are so good with burgers and BBQ.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Baked beans are a summertime staple, and this recipe is a great way to jazz up cans of baked beans. Easy to make, they're sweet, slightly tangy, and smoky all at once. The whole onion baked in the middle is different and softens while baking. It does add some extra flavor to the baked beans. We saved a few pieces of bacon to spread across the top. A great side dish for a Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or Labor Day barbecue.
