dads recipe with my added kick.Great over blkbeans,collard grns,and just about everythg!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups green bell pepper
  • 2 cups red bell pepper
  • 1 cup onions, vidalia, peeled
  • 1 cup celery stalk
  • 8 dashes celery seed
  • 8oz cans sauerkraut
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 dashes balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 - jalapeno peppers opt.

How To Make kraut salad

  • Step 1
    cut all veg.in small pieces.(remove seeds and vains from jal.peppers if u desire not such a kick)pull all veg.in a bowl.
  • Step 2
    drain kraut.After drained put in bowl with the veg.bowl.
  • Step 3
    In sauce pan over med heat:add sugar and vingar and celery seeds.cook until sugar disolves.simmer for one min.
  • Step 4
    pour over the veg and kraut mixture.mix well,cover and fridge for 24 hrs,then drain xcess liquid.(save liq.its great for maranade and/or salad dressing)
  • Step 5
    GREAT OVER BLACKBEANS,HOTDOGS,REDBNS AND RICE,OR BY ITSLF.......ENJOY!!!!!
