Ingredients

  • 2 c
    green bell pepper
  • 2 c
    red bell pepper
  • 1 c
    onions, vidalia, peeled
  • 1 c
    celery stalk
  • 8 dash(es)
    celery seed
  • 8oz can(s)
    sauerkraut
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    vinegar
  • 2 dash(es)
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2
    jalapeno peppers opt.

How to Make kraut salad

Step-by-Step

  1. cut all veg.in small pieces.(remove seeds and vains from jal.peppers if u desire not such a kick)pull all veg.in a bowl.
  2. drain kraut.After drained put in bowl with the veg.bowl.
  3. In sauce pan over med heat:add sugar and vingar and celery seeds.cook until sugar disolves.simmer for one min.
  4. pour over the veg and kraut mixture.mix well,cover and fridge for 24 hrs,then drain xcess liquid.(save liq.its great for maranade and/or salad dressing)
  5. GREAT OVER BLACKBEANS,HOTDOGS,REDBNS AND RICE,OR BY ITSLF.......ENJOY!!!!!
