This is an old family recipe. Nothing tastes better with polish sausage, smoked sausage, etc.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16oz) can shredded sauerkraut
  • 1 small head cabbage, shredded
  • 8oz slices mushrooms, or canned (stems and pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or bacon drippings, have always used the bacon drippings
  • - pepper- to taste

How To Make kaposzta

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients together. Cover and simmer, and stir occasionally, for about 1 hour.
