Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c
    coarsely crushed cornflakes
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 4 1/2 c
    cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 can(s)
    10.75 oz condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 1 c
    milk, whole
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 2 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make JEWEL'S CHEDDAR CABBAGE CASSEROLE

Step-by-Step

  1. Toss cornflakes in butter, sprinkle half into a 13x9x2 in baking dish. Layer the cabbage, onion, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine soup, milk, and mayonnaise until smooth. Spoon over cabbage mixture. Sprinkle cheese and remaining cornflakes mixture on top. Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven at 350 degrees F 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
