I have no idea why this is called Japanese spaghetti, unless it is the soy sauce. My girlfriend’s mother used to make this as a side dish with pork chops, and it is so delicious

How to Make Japanese Spaghetti


  1. Rough chop bacon and render drippings in a large pan.
  2. Add chopped onion, garlic and chopped cabbage. Cover and sauté until everything is cooked through. If it gets dry, a small amount of chicken broth can be added.
  3. While Cabbage is cooking, boil pasta that has been broken into thirds.
  4. Mix cooked pasta with bacon and cooked cabbage mixture and add low sodium soy sauce. Enjoy!
