I have no idea why this is called Japanese spaghetti, unless it is the soy sauce. My girlfriend’s mother used to make this as a side dish with pork chops, and it is so delicious

Ingredients

  • 1 medium green cabbage
  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 1/2 pound angel hair pasta
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce, low sodium

How To Make japanese spaghetti

  • Step 1
    Rough chop bacon and render drippings in a large pan.
  • Step 2
    Add chopped onion, garlic and chopped cabbage. Cover and sauté until everything is cooked through. If it gets dry, a small amount of chicken broth can be added.
  • Step 3
    While Cabbage is cooking, boil pasta that has been broken into thirds.
  • Step 4
    Mix cooked pasta with bacon and cooked cabbage mixture and add low sodium soy sauce. Enjoy!
