These were so good we ate them all before I thought to take a photo..It would have been beautiful...you may like to add your photo too. I will be making these again, my family loved them, even my husband who does not like cooked vegetables had 2 servings...lo

Ingredients

  • 1 package 12 to 14 oz. frozen italian green beans,
  • 1/4 cup real bacon bits
  • 1 tablespoon bacon grease
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons red bell pepper,diced
  • 3 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make italian green beans- my way

  • Step 1
    Microwave beans according to package direction,do not over cook. Set aside unopened to rest.
  • Step 2
    In a skillet,add the bacon grease.Heat to melt, then add the onion and bell pepper; saute until softened. Add the bacon bits, vinegar,sugar and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Cook until sugar is dissolved and mixture is bubbly. Add green beans and toss to coat with the mixture and heat through..enjoy...
