irish peas, recipe from ireland
My neighbor suggested I try this tasty recipe. It is from her aunt in Ireland. Quick and easy, with a different mint taste twist. Makes a wonderful side dish. I never would have thought to cook peas this way, when we had a farm and canned peas by the bushel!! Oh! them day gone by....when both boys would help me shell our home grown peas, on the front porch. In the early 50's. Come winter they helped make some delicious meals. Our home grown was very nutritious and always so much tastier. 5/9/12
