I remember when I was a little girl visiting my great grand parents in Brazil Indiana. My great grandmother in the summer always had a pot of these on the back burner

  • 3 lb
    fresh green beans stems removed
  • 3 to 4 slice
    lean bacon cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 medium
    onion sliced thin
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Indiana style green beans

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine all ingredients in large pot or in crock pot
  2. Cook on very low temp for about 4 hours
