- 8 lge - carrots
- 12 - onions
- 12 lge - sweet red peppers
- 2 hot - peppers
- 2 lge - heads cabbage
- 3/4 cup - salt
- 1 1/2 qt - vinegar
- 6 cups - sugar
- 3 tbsp - celery seed
- 3 tbsp - mustard seed
- 1/2 tsp - red pepper
How To Make "homemade chowchow"

Step 1grind all vegetables in a grinder.then add salt.let stand for 3 hours.combine vinegar,sugar in a very large kettle and stir until the sugar dissolves.simmer for 20 min bring to a boil. and pack into hot sterilized jars then seal.
