Ingredients

  • - 1/4 cup sugar
  • - 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • - 1 tsp. salt
  • - dash pepper
  • - 16 oz. can sliced or diced beets, drained, reserving liquid
  • - water
  • - 3 tbsp. vinegar

How To Make harvard beets

  • Step 1
    In medium pan, mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Measure reserved liquid; add water to make 3/4 cup liquid. gradually stir liquid and vinegar into sugar mixture; blend til smooth. Cook til mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. add beets; cook til thoroughly heated. Serves 4
