I started making these when I stared getting more tomatoes out of the garden than we could use. I also needed something quick to feed the kids. Great as a side or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 large
    tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 pkg
    cheese ( we use all different kinds, depends on our mood.)
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Grilled tomatoes

Step-by-Step

  1. slice tomatoes about 1/4 inch or thicker slices
  2. mix olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper
  3. Place tomato slices on a hot grill and brush on olive oil mixture. As soon as you get the oil on them, flip them and coat the other side and add cheese
  4. When the cheese melts, get them off and put them on a tray. Enjoy
