1Break ends of beans off but leave the beans whole.
Place green beans in a covered casserole with 2 tablespoons of water. Microwave on high till beans are crisp and tender do not over cook.3-5 minutes depending on microwave.
2Meanwhile heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add walnuts to the dry pan and toast stirring often to prevent burning. Walnuts are done when you can smell them. You may also see a little bit of oil coming from them. Remove pan from heat.
3Once beans are done drain them. Return the pan to medium heat add butter to the walnuts and then add green beans.Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to coat green beans in butter for about 2-3 minutes. Serve.
