green beans with mushrooms
I happened to have these ingredients on hand and came up with this - kind of like Green Bean Casserole without the mushroom soup! Although I prepared this on my stove top, it could easily have been popped into the oven. Your choice on what form of garlic to use - chopped, grated, salt, powder... or none!

Ingredients
- 1-2 tablespoon olive oil or butter
- 2 tablespoons wondra flour (or regular flour)
- 1 cup chicken broth (or water with 1 tsp chicken bouillon)
- 8 ounces mushrooms, roughly chopped
- 1 pound frozen green beans, thawed
- - salt, pepper and garlic salt, to taste
- 1/2 cup grated cheese of choice
- 1/2 cup durkee's onion rings or panko crumbs
How To Make green beans with mushrooms

Step 1Heat oil/butter. Add Wondra/flour, stir until thickened. Gradually add broth. Simmer until somewhat thickened. Add cheese and stir until melted.

Step 2Add mushrooms, stir for about 2 minutes. Add beans. Stir to mix. Let simmer for about 10 minutes. Add salt, pepper and garlic salt to taste. Sprinkle onion/crumbs on top. Turn heat to low, cover and cook for a few more minutes.
