    kosher salt
  • 2 lb
    green beans, trimmed and halved
  • 2 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 1/2 c
    slice almonds
  • 1 pinch
  • ·
    freshly ground pepper

How to Make Green Beans with Almonds


  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook until tender, about 3 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the almonds; cook until golden, about 2 minutes. Add the nutmeg.
  3. Meanwhile, stir the green beans and 2 tablespoons water into the skillet; season with salt and pepper. Cook until warmed through, 2 minutes.
