  • 2 pounds green beans, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup slice almonds
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • - freshly ground pepper

How To Make green beans with almonds

  • Step 1
    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook until tender, about 3 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the almonds; cook until golden, about 2 minutes. Add the nutmeg.
  • Step 3
    Meanwhile, stir the green beans and 2 tablespoons water into the skillet; season with salt and pepper. Cook until warmed through, 2 minutes.
